DeFuniak Springs, FL...An unbelievable garden in DeFuniak Springs, Florida created in the footprint of Thomas Jefferson's summer retreat, Poplar Forest, in Bedford, VA. The presentation was on Saturday, January 28, 2012 as a session of the official 2012 Florida Chautauqua Assembly. Dennis and Brenda Ray designed and own the garden, featuring boxwoods from historic places around the United States.

Legendary porcelain art painter Mary Vinson is honored in 2010 by her beloved DeFuniak Springs community at the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood. She is instrumental in bringing greater awareness to the revived Florida Chautauqua Assembly through her participation and spectacular porcelain art exhibits.
The Florida Chautauqua Assembly is a 4-day, conference style program for the whole family comprised of Keynote presentations, educational breakout sessions, performance teas, evening dinner performances and exhibits relating to an annual theme.
